Day 26

Emotional balance is always important. Life is really a juggling act- you have to learn how to balance everything that matters. But it is always important to put yourself first. You cannot take care of others effectively without cherishing yourself! Now don’t get me wrong it is important to be of service to others and be active in your life, but the first person you have to take care of is you! You deserve to be treated the best, and no one can treat you better than you can. You understand your desires and needs better than anyone else. You’re special! Always know that.


Treating Yourself (part two)

One of the most important things in life is to be happy. It’s something that basically you need to do, in order to be healthy (since your health is directly coordinated to your emotional state). So, when you start putting yourself first and doing what makes you happy you are really treating yourself. I treated myself this past Tuesday (the 12th) by going out. I had a really fun time, and I’m glad I went. Over time I’ve realized that I have to do what makes me happy, because that’s all that matters. Others opinions on what I do or what decisions I make in the long run don’t matter. I’m not saying that you should decide to not care about anyone, because it’s important to care about your friends and be a good friend, but you don’t need to “follow” them. You need to be your own person and enjoy your life. At the end of the day it’s about enjoying yourself and doing what you want. Yes there are responsibilities that may not allow you to always do what you want (like basically for the most part ever since I got a job in the beginning of April, my weekends are gone) but you need to make time for what you want. There’s always enough time. Always. And everyone makes time for what and who they want. Remember that you deserve to be happy. Positivity is contagious. The biggest mistake I’ve made in my life is allowing someone to steal my energy and my happiness. The thing is with lessons, is that you get do-overs and you’ll keep getting them until you get it right. At this point you should be worried about being happy and healthy. Stay positive!  


Treat Yourself

“It is most important to love yourself the most.” That’s one of my main themes of my blog and in almost all of my blog posts, because I know that really it can be easy to start caring for others and put yourself second (mothers have the tendency to this a lot, which is why you’ll see moms in boot-cut jeans, not caring about their appearance, but I’ll talk about my relationship with boot-cut jeans another day). Treat yourself. Love yourself. Sometimes you want to do things that you end up talking yourself out of them due to things like peer pressure, fear, et cetera. BUT you deserve to do what your heart desires. You deserve the world, but you can’t expect someone to give it to you; you have to go get the world for yourself. If you really want something, go for it. At the end of the day, you only regret the chances you don’t take. Have fun. Live a little.
