Today, I had my first Nordstrom Fashion Ambassador meeting. The meeting ran really smoothly, and I’m really excited to learn a lot about the fashion industry. I learned about a couple new fashion blogs, and this app/site called Bloglovin (I’ve requested to put my blog on there, so it should be up there shortly (I’ll keep you updated). So anyways, back to the meeting to the end of the meeting. We were given two friendship bracelets, from Me to We (I ended up having three but that’s besides the point, though it is crucial to the story). Me to We is this organization that works to better lives basically (I’ll post the link below). So we were all given me to we Rafikis, which in Swahili means friends (Rafiki is friend). Basically the point is you can share these with your friends, while donating to give a child access to a better education. You are able to even track the purchase. I think it’s an excellent idea, because they’re adorable and you get to help children (and as a future educator I’m all about education and helping children in general). Make sure you check out the link!

Winter Fashions
This past Monday, I was in my schools’ prom fashion show. There were different styles modeled, specifically the Christmas looks, ripped jeans, old school versus new school, and prom. The pictures below are from the two scenes I was in, the Christmas scene and the prom scene. For the Christmas scene, I wore a black and white striped dress, with a red pashmina and black heels. For prom, I wore a black velvet dress, with creme shoulders and back with little studs on it. For Christmas, I think a traditional look is better, more blacks and whites but the pop of color (in my case red). I loved the ripped jeans look, specifically the ones from Forever 21. Our Fashion Club actually ripped their own jeans, which is extremely creative. Personally I layer, because I get cold fairly quickly. I like to wear boots normally . So just keep in mind the temperature when you’re dressing this winter. For prom there was a variety of short and long dresses, I wore a long dress, but for my prom I think I want to wear a shorter dress. I like the idea of wearing something more eye catching for prom, just like how I wore pants to homecoming (see my homecoming post if you haven’t seen my outfit). Just be comfortable in what you wear, confidence is everything. Stay fabulous!
Must Haves
My friends make fun of the fact that I carry everything in my purse. I love big purses. Well really I love purses in general. I think that my love for bags started when I was little. I was always the “bag lady”. After all these years I’ve just about got it down packed for what I need in a bag. Okay well what I can carry if I have a big bag. Here are my basic lists, on what normally stays in my bag day to day.
Small Bag:
Burt’s Bees, Lip gloss, wallet, keys, cheetah mirror, hand sanitizer (on my bag), tissues, lotion
Big Bag:
Burt’s Bees, EOS, inhaler, wallet, keys, glasses, nail file (cheetah), sunglasses, barrattes, hand sanitizer, lotion, hand cream, pony tail holders, nude headband, glasses case (if I’m wearing my contacts).
I hope this helps!
