Hair Care- Fall Edition

As summer comes to an end, it’s important to make sure that you’re not only changing your wardrobe but your hair care regime. In the summer it’s fine to do a wash-and-go (even though most women do more than just wash, condition, and use a leave in), but in the cooler months, it’s not a good idea. It’s important to make sure you drink lots of water and oil your hair. Oils, especially coconut oil really help your ends stay strong. In Michigan, the winters are really damaging to your hair, so now is the time to prepare for that. For this past week, my hair care regime includes conditioning daily, and then French braiding prior to going to bed (it sets really nicely). For the fall I will be protective styling more, while making sure I condition often. It’s important also to make sure your hair is dry prior to leaving the house. I plan on trying Bantu knots again (I did them a lot last winter), and perfecting my knots. What do you do to keep your curls popping in the fall?
